Vi sono svariate forme di violenza che si manifestano in modi “sfacciati”, ambiscono a provocare orrore e terrore ed hanno un peso talmente imponente da oscura- re spesso e volentieri un’altra forma di violenza: quella inaspettata. Double face è il risultato di una riflessione sul tema del design perfetto della violenza di genere.
Questa particolare forma di violenza invade con pazienza cancerogena la nostra società ogni qual volta un atto di violenza viene giustificato ed insabbiato. Ogni volta che diciamo di averlo meritato, di essere noi il problema, ogni volta che non denunciamo una violenza la collochiamo nel famigliare, nell’abitudine, se non addirittura nel quotidiano e nella routine.
Diamo in questo modo un posto a qualcosa che un posto non dovrebbe neppure averlo e diventiamo così complici inermi di una persecuzione vigliacca.
La questione sta tutta nell’apparire, nel come viene ad- dolcita la pillola, nel come viene presentato l’impresentabile al fine di innestare il dubbio che il male possa essere il migliore tra i beni.

This particular form of violence swarms with cancer-causing patience our society every time an act of violence is excused and covered up. Every time we state that we deserved it, that we are the problem, every time we decide not to report violence, we make it familiar, it becomes a habit and even a routine. By doing so, we give space to something that should not deserve one and we become defenseless accomplices of cowardly persecution. It all depends on the appearance, on the way you sweeten the pill, on how the unpresentable is presented with the aim of inserting the doubt that the evil could be the greatest good.
