"Nothing is more unique and unrepeatable than a keepsake. The true 'Limited Edition' is the most common thing in the world."
To tell your story and share your experience is to expose yourself, to put yourself nude. It is possible to expose many things: we can expose our courage, tell of our good deeds or speak of our strength.
However, offering oneself to the view can also mean putting oneself in a position to suffer harm.
The imposter syndrome is something all-consuming, terrifying. Does revealing our weaknesses really mean we are no longer who we have always been?
The project Genteiban - Limited Edition was born from a personal need, but thanks to the comparison and the encounter with the other it was possible to make it a participatory project.
The collection of "nudes" is now enriched with a second chapter: Nude 9, this is not only Sara's story.

Raccontarsi e condividere la propria esperienza significa esporsi, mettersi a nudo. È possibile esporre tante cose: possiamo esporre il nostro coraggio, raccontare delle nostre buone azioni o parlare della nostra forza.
Tuttavia, offrire alla vista sé stessi, può anche significare mettersi in condizione di poter soffrire un danno.

The artistic gesture is a ritual process. It is a rituality capable of dilating time and this allows the mind to get lost.
When we remember by entering the space of memory, we lose ourselves.
To remember is to experience a state of splitting: we are in the "here" and "now" but at the same time we are elsewhere.
In the same moment two different realities coexist in this way, two distinct poles of equal importance. It is enough to remember to live an intense immobile journey but it is extremely difficult to transmit a memory in all its powerful complexity. Even when we share our experience with others, we place an involuntary censure, we are forced to choose a single perspective. Memories are made up of so many things that are mixed together: sounds, smells, sensations, feelings ... Somehow, we are the only viewers in the front row who can watch the spectacle of our lives.
"Genteiban - Limited Edition" is a multidisciplinary art project born during the first COVID19 quarantine.
The concept of 'Limited Edition' is extremely common in contemporary society and is charged with great power. What is labeled limited edition identifies something special, unique and elite. By buying these commercial products we too become by osmosis special, unique and elite.
Yet nothing is more unique and unrepeatable than a memory. The true Limited Edition is the most common thing in the world.

Il gesto artistico è un processo rituale. Si tratta di una ritualità capace di dilatare il tempo e questo permette alla mente di smarrirsi.
Quando ricordiamo entrando nello spazio della memoria, noi ci perdiamo.
Ricordare significa vivere uno stato di scissione: noi siamo nel “qui” ed “ora” ma allo stesso tempo siamo altrove.
Nello stesso momento coesistono in questo modo due realtà differenti, due poli distinti, di egual importanza. Basta ricordare per vivere un intenso viaggio immobile ma è estremamente difficile trasmettere un ricordo in tutta la sua potente complessità. Anche quando condividiamo il nostro vissuto con altri, poniamo una involontaria censura, siamo costretti a scegliere una singola angolazione. I ricordi sono fatti da tantissime cose che si mischiano: suoni, odori, sensazioni, sentimenti ... In qualche modo, noi siamo gli unici spettatori in prima fila, che possono assistere allo spettacolo della nostra vita.
"Genteiban - Limited Edition" è un progetto artistico pluridisciplinare nato durante la prima quarantena COVID19.
Il concetto di 'Edizione Limitata' è estremamente comune nella società contemporanea ed è carico di grande potenza. Ciò che è etichettato limited edition identifica qualcosa di speciale, unico e d'élite. Comprando questi prodotti commerciali anche noi diventiamo per osmosi speciali, unici e d'élite.
Eppure nulla è più unico ed irripetibile di un ricordo. Il vero Limited Edition è la cosa più comune al mondo.
